Sekolah Tinggi Theologia Jaffray (Jaffray School of Theology) was originally founded in 1932 as the Makassar Bible School by Dr Robert Alexander Jaffray, a missionary with the Christian and Missionary Alliance (CMA), with the mission to reach the world for Christ and to build up Christian leaders and ministers who are rooted in God’s Word and have a heart for missions. Today, STT Jaffray is one of the oldest theological institutions in Indonesia, located in the heart of the city of Makassar. The school has about 460 students from over 40 church denominations in Indonesia, particularly East Indonesia, in its Bachelor and Master programs. Its alumni members are found in various places in Indonesia and Malaysia, ministering the Word to those who have yet to hear the gospel.
The evangelical and interdenominational school is under the direction of the Gereja Kemah Injil Indonesia, a member of Ecumenical Churches Fellowship as well as Evangelical Churches Fellowship, and supported by Gereja Kebangunan Kalam Allah, Sinode Gereja Kristus Yesus, Gereja Hok Im Tong Bandung, and others.
